Creative House Pocket Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) sets forth this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, in the electronic book viewing service “ANBABY HOME” (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) provided by the Company.
1. User Information to be Collected and Collection Methods
In this Policy, “User Information” means information pertaining to the identification of users, history of actions on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in connection with users or their devices, which is collected by the Company based on this Policy. Depending on the method of collection, the User Information collected by the Company in this Service will be as follows:
Information provided by the user: The information provided by the user in order to use the Service or through the use of the Service is as follows:
- Date and time of agreement to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and app version
- Name of products purchased by each user, date of purchase, and store name of purchase
- Information entered or transmitted by the user through input forms or other methods determined by the Company
Information collected by the Company when the user uses the Service: The Company may collect information regarding the access status and usage of the Service. This includes the following information:
- Referrer
- IP address
- Information related to server access logs
2. Purpose of Use
The specific purposes of use of User Information related to the provision of the Service are as follows:
- (1) Provision, maintenance, protection, and improvement of the Service, including acceptance of registration, user authentication, recording of user settings, and calculation of usage fees.
- (2) Response to inquiries and guidance regarding the Service.
- (3) Response to acts that violate the Company’s terms, policies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Terms, etc.”) regarding the Service.
- (4) Notification of changes to the Terms, etc. regarding the Service.
3. Method of Notification, Publication, or Acquisition of Consent; Method of Requesting Discontinuation of Use
By configuring the prescribed settings of the Service, the user may request the suspension of the collection or use of all or part of the User Information. In such a case, the Company shall promptly suspend its use in accordance with the Company’s provisions. Note that since the collection or use of certain items of User Information is a prerequisite for the Service, the Company will stop such collection or use only if the user withdraws from the Service through the Company’s prescribed method.
4. Information Collection Modules
The Company acquires User Information described in Section 1 for the purposes described in Section 2 through the information collection modules incorporated into the app as described below.
5. Provision to Third Parties
The Company will not provide personal information among the User Information to third parties (including those located outside of Japan) without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in cases where provision is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”) or other laws and regulations. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
- (1) When the Company entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
- (2) When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons.
- (3) When personal information is provided to partners or information collection module providers in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.
- (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a person entrusted by them in performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the user’s consent may interfere with the performance of such affairs.
- (5) Other cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
When a user requests disclosure of personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the user themselves, disclose the information to the user without delay (or notify the user if such personal information does not exist). However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per request) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
7. Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.
7-1 If a user requests (1) correction of the content of personal information on the grounds that it is not true, or (2) suspension of use on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the previously announced purpose of use or was collected by deceit or other improper means, based on the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the user themselves, conduct the necessary investigation without delay and, based on the results, correct or suspend the use of the personal information and notify the user to that effect. If the Company decides not to correct or suspend the use, it shall notify the user to that effect.
7-2 If a user requests the deletion of their personal information and the Company determines it is necessary to comply with the request, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the user themselves, delete the personal information and notify the user to that effect.
7-3 If the Company is not obligated to perform corrections or suspension of use under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the provisions of 7-1 and 7-2 shall not apply.

9. Procedures for Changing the Privacy Policy
The Company will change this Policy as necessary. However, in the event of a change to this Policy that requires the consent of users under laws and regulations, the changed Policy shall apply only to users who have agreed to the change in the manner prescribed by the Company. When the Company changes this Policy, it shall notify users of the effective date and content of the changed Policy by displaying it on the Company’s website or by other appropriate methods.
